Coventry City midfield youngster Tom Bayliss is interesting Newcastle United.
The Evening Chronicle says the central midfielder has been watched on numerous occasions by the Magpies and with question marks over the heads of Jonjo Shelvey, Mo Diame and Isaac Hayden, the 20-year-old fits the bill for United this summer.
A fee of £500,000 has been touted with Leeds United and Middlesbrough also both understood to be interested in his signature.
Bayliss would be deemed as a squad member at United next season with the club's board keen to freshen up their roster and lower the average age.
