Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow is pushing for a return to action against Manchester United on Saturday.

The Englishman was hospitalised with coronavirus at the start of preseason and missed all of the club's friendlies.

Darlow is now pushing for a recall to face the Red Devils, according to The Times.

Freddie Woodman has been Toon's starting goalkeeper for their first three Premier League matches, from which they've collected just one point.
