Newcastle United goalkeeper coach Andy Woodman was confronted by angry fans after defeat at Leicester City yesterday.
The Evening Chronicle says Woodman was forced to explain the Magpies' woeful performance to irate fans outside the King Power Stadium after the club's eighth consecutive defeat.
Woodman spoke peacefully to fans and calmed tensions after the 3-0 loss to Leicester while Remy Cabella signed autographs.
Angry away fans stormed to the players' exit where the team bus was parked with fans shouting "cowards" at United's squad members as they boarded the bus.
