Newcastle United are interested in FC Ufa attacker Gamid Agalarov.

The striker's deal with Ufa runs to the end of 2022 and Sport-Express says Newcastle are keen.

Ufa chief Shamil Gazizov said, "It is in our prerogative that Hamid Agalarov progress in another championship. There is interest from European countries. How likely is Agalarov to leave the team? I don't know. It all depends on many factors that are beyond our control.

"Any offers? In January, there was interest from Premier League clubs. A player who scored 18 goals in an outsider team is a unique case. All scouts follow him. But now Hamid is only thinking about how to help Ufa keep a place in the RPL."
