Newcastle Jets v Melbourne Victory preview

Melbourne Victory face their bogey team in the Newcastle Jets tomorrow night.

In 15 meetings, the Jets have saluted on eight occasions with three draws leaving the Victory to take the chocolates just four times indicating that this one may fall to the Novocastrians.

With a new owner and an expected improved crowd, the Jets will be desperate to put on a good show and back up last week's opening win of the season.

The Victory have failed to hit the target in their past two matches but at the same time have not conceded in three with their defence their key at present.

There probably won't be many goals in this one but Newcastle may get the one required to record a stirring win.

Verdict: Jets 1-0
