A-League club Newcastle Jets have secured the services of former Arsenal and Everton striker Francis Jeffers.
The 29-year old English attacker has signed a ten-match guest stint with the Jets, which kicks off on November 13.
Jeffers last played for English Championship club Sheffield Wednesday in May and has been in Newcastle since Friday, beginning his trial on the weekend.
After impressing the Jets coaching staff during training, Jeffers was offered the deal and jumped at the chance to sign on.
"I like what is happening with the club. It is an exciting period here and hopefully I will be able to assist the Jets to climb up the ladder during my time here. The lads and everybody at the club have been great and made me feel welcome from the time I landed and I can't wait to get going," Jeffers said.
