Newcastle United are inviting Championship loan offers for Jonas Gutierrez.
The Evening Chronicle says Jonas has not trained with United since the squad returned for pre-season training and was told to find a new club in the transfer window. But despite tentative interest in him at the start of August, there were no buyers for the experienced winger.
Newcastle gave him a squad number but a contract wrangle that would see him granted a new deal if he plays a handful more games means there is little chance of him extending his stay on Tyneside. United will now instruct Championship and League One clubs that he is available along with forward Haris Vuckic - who spent the end of last season at Rotherham.
