Newcastle have injury concerns for Fabian Schar.
Chronicle Live says Newcastle are assessing the fitness of Schar after he pulled out of Switzerland's two friendly games over the international period. Schar had been called up to face England at Wembley tomorrow night while he was also aiming to play in a friendly against Kosovo in Zurich.
But the United centre-back was withdrawn due to a precaution after picking up an abductor injury. While his United team-mates have been in warm weather training in Dubai, Schar has been in Marbella with his national team.
Schar was named as captain for Newcastle's 1-0 defeat against Everton and had formed a good partnership with Dan Burn for the Magpies in the heart of Eddie Howe's defence. United will assess Schar's condition ahead of next week's training schedule as Newcastle build up to the trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
