Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton is closing in on Manchester United winger Tom Cleverley.
The Daily Mail says Hughton hopes to clinch a loan deal for Manchester United midfielder Cleverley this week.
The Newcastle chief, who has so far signed Sol Campbell, Dan Gosling and James Perch, is hoping to clinch a season-long deal for Cleverley, who spent last season on loan at Watford.
