Newcastle United hero Nobby Solano has quickly been won over by Ayoze Perez.
The Peruvian wrote in the Evening Chronicle: "Ayoze Perez should take a bow after his performances against Tottenham, Liverpool and West Brom.
"He is showing what he can do at the moment. Perez has been a key player in the last two or three games.
"For me he is a typical poacher and you always want somebody like him in the team.
"He can sniff out a goal or even a chance.
"I wouldn't say he will go on to be as successful but his style of play does remind me of a young Michael Owen. He's small and he can see goals coming.
"He can read a chance and all of a sudden - boom - it's in the back of the net."
