Newcastle United hero Nobby Solano is full of praise for youngster Lewis Miley.

The talented midfielder has earned a new contract with the Magpies after breaking into the first team.

Miley, who came into Eddie Howe's side due to an injury crisis, has not looked out of place since.

Solano told talkSPORT on Miley: “First of all it's amazing for the club, it's amazing for the city. I know how proud they will be at Newcastle. It's nice to see a player with a Newcastle identity, it's great for the club, great for the city.

“There's so much passion around him, so I'm so pleased for him. He has a great future, I hope he can continue because it's difficult in football to be consistent.

“So, the boy has a great opportunity to carry on and have a great career, I hope Newcastle can keep him for a long time."
