Newcastle United are haggling with PSV Eindhoven over a fee for Erik Pieters.
The Evening Chronicle says the Dutch media claim that United are not prepared to go beyond a fee of around £4million with PSV trying to hold out for a fee of £6million.
Alan Pardew jetted out to Holland on Sunday to watch the 3-0 win over ADO Den Haag to take a closer look at the Dutch international.
