Former Newcastle United forward Shola Ameobi has joined Turkish club Gaziantep BB.
The 32-year old Nigeria international has signed a one-year deal with the second division club as a free agent following his exit from St James' Park earlier this summer.
Ameobi joined the Magpies' youth academy as a 14-year old back in 1995 and went on to score 71 goals in 378 appearances for the north east club but will now move on to southeast Turkey.
"We want to establish an ambitious team in the league this season, and a strong team continues to strengthen by adding players," said a statement on Gaziantep's official website.
"We have therefore tied Nigerian striker Shola Ameobi - from one of the strongest teams in England, Newcastle United - to us for one year."
