Newcastle United have gone cold on Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha.

The Evening Chronicle says Zaha has slipped down their priority list somewhat and, with youngsters like Haris Vuckic and Sammy Ameobi so close to the first-team stage at St James' Park, other avenues in the transfer market are set to be explored.

Zaha impressed for the Eagles last season and helped the Croydon outfit to the semi-finals of the League Cup.
