Newcastle form frustrated captain Coloccini

Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini is frustrated by his side's early season form.

Despite spending a fortune in the transfer market over the summer, Newcastle have looked no better than they did last season and the Magpies currently languishing in bottom place of the Premier League is a testament to this fact.

The fans have been left very frustrated by results so far, prompting Coloccini has gone on to admit that the Magpies have simply not been good enough.

Coloccini told the Chronicle: "We didn't do what we've been doing in the first four games in the Premier League. I'm frustrated about that.

"We want to try to do the same things as we did in the first four games. We don't want to go back to what was happening last season and we have to adjust this quickly and make sure it doesn't happen again on Saturday against Watford.

"Last season we made mistakes without the ball and it's something we need to stop. We need to eliminate the mistakes and learn from it."
