Newcastle United have dismissed concerns over Steven Taylor's fitness.

The Journal says Taylor is expected to be back in contention for the clash with Queens Park Rangers.

He missed the game with West Brom due to a minor calf injury and wasn't played as a precaution.

But he will be expected to train this week as the build-up to the encounter with QPR begins.
