Newcastle United's Ryan Taylor is desperate to ensure the Premier League safety of the club after their horrendous run of form has condemned them to the relegation mire.
Only two wins in last 18 games under caretaker manager John Carver mean that the Magpies are just two points clear of the relegation zone with two fixtures remaining.
Newcastle travel to already-relegated QPR on Saturday and the versatile Taylor is motivated to get a positive result at Loftus Road as the Magpies stare down the barrel of their own relegation gun.
Taylor said: "We find ourselves in a big hole now, and we need a win to get out of it. I don't want to go down. I've had it once before here [2009] and don't want that feeling again.
"As one of the experienced players, I have to make sure those who haven't been here too long fully understand the situation and together we get out of this mess."
