Steven Taylor is keen to hook up with Sol Campbell for Newcastle United's clash with Chelsea.
Defensive injuries is expected to see the pair both handed their first Premier League starts for the season on Sunday.
Taylor, 24, suffered a knee injury in January and has yet to play this season but insists he is raring to go.
He said: "Playing with Sol would be fantastic if we get the opportunity.
"We played together in the reserves against Manchester City last week and had a good partnership in a 1-0 win.
"I'm fit and I've bided my time for the past few games. Now I'm hoping to get my chance."
