Newcastle United defender Dan Burn is looking forward to facing former club Brighton.

The 6ft 7in player then earned his dream move to Newcastle United last January as the Magpies paid £13million for his services.

When asked his emotions ahead of the return to Brighton, Burn told Chronicle Live: "I'm looking forward to it! It'll be strange but I am looking forward to it as I did not get the chance to say goodbye to the fans properly.

"A lot of staff I also didn't get to see because it happened so quickly. It will be a tough game and we know we have only won one match so we need to kick on and put in another performance."

And Burn insisted he will always feel indebted to Brighton for giving him the chance to play top level football.

Burn reflected: "Hugely (indebted). They took a chance to take me to the Premier League at the time. All the staff and the manager there, I wouldn't be where I am without them. So it will be nice to go back and see people."
