Newcastle United defender Dan Burn has hit out at their critics.
The Toon were one of the biggest spenders during the summer transfer window, paying out approximately £123m to bring in a raft of new players that included Alexander Isak, Nick Pope and Sven Botman.
But Burn told The i: "We tend not to listen to a lot of what has been said, we try to keep it in house,.
"But when things like that are said it is frustrating because a lot of the lads who are performing really well were here before the takeover and I think it's a little bit lazy when they do say that.
"I can understand where they [critics] are coming from. At the moment people say we're the richest club in the world and we probably will go on to spend a lot more money but if you look at the money we've spent so far and the lads that play week in, week out it's probably not doing us justice."
