Newcastle concern as Chelsea owner Abramovich turns to Ben Arfa

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is lining up a bid for Newcastle United midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa. The Daily Mail says Chelsea have already acquired Marko Marin and Eden Hazard to bolster their attacking midfield options but Newcastle's twinkle-toed Frenchman is next.

Blues representatives have approached Newcastle to enquire about the player and Chelsea believe they can procure him for around £18million - although Newcastle will demand more than £26m.

Porto star Hulk could cost the club upwards of £40m - when added to Ben Arfa's potential fee and the £32m for Hazard and £8m on Marin, it would reach an astonishing £100m.
