Newcastle United have cleared out their fringe players.
The Sunday Sun says having announced their retained list on Friday, the Toon have released the likes of Shola Ameobi, Dan Gosling and Conor Newton, who have joined Rotherham United and Bournemouth respectively, as well as Michael Richardson, Steven Logan, Brandon Miele and Jonathan Mitchell.
The expiration of Loic Remy's and Luuk De Jong's loan deals from QPR and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively sees them depart St James' Park too.
