Newcastle United are interested in Ajax midfielder Siem de Jong.
The People says Newcastle are on the trail of £12million-rated Ajax playmaker De Jong, as they look to replace Yohan Cabaye this summer.
The 25-year-old Swiss-born Dutchman has been tracked by the Geordies since Cabaye left for Paris Saint-Germain in January.
The attacking midfielder is brother of striker Luuk de Jong, who is at St James' Park on-loan from Borussia Moenchengladbach.
