Newcastle United have joined the battle for Tenerife striker Ayoze Perez.
The Journal says United have begun negotiations with Tenerife over young forward Perez - who would cost around £2m.
Perez is also a target for Real Madrid and Manchester City after a prolific Segunda Division campaign.
The 20-year-old is not an orthodox striker but he certainly knows where the back of the net is, having notched 10 times in 18 games for Tenerife.
