Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini is delighted for Ayoze Perez over his recent goalscoring form.
Perez's exploits after just two starts have already seen him displace Newcastle's current No.9 Papiss Cisse.
Argentine defender Coloccini, 32, said: "His goal was top class - it was a great finish (against West Bromwich Albion).
"Ayo has a very good attitude, wants to keep learning and be the best and he has done very well so far.
"Things like this will help him to improve.
"I am so pleased for Ayo because he works hard.
"He is only young and is still learning, but he works so hard, so when things go well it is nice because he deserves it."
