Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew does not want to lose veteran Sol Campbell.
With Steven Taylor out for another five weeks, he is the next central defensive option for Newcastle, despite interest from Celtic.
Pardew told the Sunday Sun: "I want to keep Sol. He is a giant figure in the game and players can learn from him - even if he does not get in the team.
"He has not been fit and he has not been available since he played against Liverpool, so it has been difficult.
"However, he has looked terrific in recent days."
