Newcastle boss Pardew to learn on Tuesday FA punishment for headbutt

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew will learn his punishment for head-butting Hull City's David Meyler when he attends a hearing on Tuesday, reports SkySports. Pardew has admitted the Football Association misconduct charge and will appear in front of a three-man independent regulatory commission and his punishment is likely to include a stadium ban.

In the hours immediately after the match, Pardew made a public apology for his behaviour, while he was fined £100,000 by his club and issued with a formal warning.

The 52 year old will make a personal statement on Tuesday in which he will point to his public apology and contrition, and the steps he will take to improve his behaviour.

A stadium ban would mean he cannot attend the match at all, and the prospect is believed to be very real.
