Newcastle boss Pardew keen on Remy return

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is keen to bring back QPR striker Loic Remy. The France international was expected to complete an £8.5million move to Liverpool from Queens Park Rangers, but saw the deal collapse after undergoing a medical.

Pardew said in the Evening Chronicle: "I am surprised about what's happening with Loic because I thought he was signing for Liverpool and that door was slammed shut.

"I didn't expect that, and we certainly had no problem with Loic during his time with us.

"So we shall monitor it as we go along."
