Newcastle boss Pardew has two games to save job

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has two games to save his job.

The Daily Express says Toon owner Mike Ashley is losing his patience at the start of a season where the club have yet to win a Premier League match.

And if Newcastle, who are 16th in the table, suffer defeat at Southampton on Saturday and then Hull a week later, Ashley could bring Pardew's four-year reign to an end.

Pardew signed an eight-year contract in 2012 but his fortunes at St James' Park have flagged in the past nine months, following Yohan Cabaye's sale in January.

Newcastle have achieved just 18 points in the league from 66 in 2014 and Ashley is now demanding an upturn in form.
