Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew admits yesterday's derby defeat was as low as he's felt on Tyneside.
United are still not safe from relegation and suffered another blow with keeper Tim Krul ruled out of the remaining five games after he dislocated a shoulder.
Pardew admitted: "This is up there as my worst moment as Newcastle manager. The pain of this defeat will not go away.
"We are under no illusions about our responsibility to our fans and we have let them down, 100 per cent."
