Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is delighted to have Massadio Haidara back in action.
He arrived in January as a 20-year-old from Nancy but is now speaking English and ready to challenge the first team.
Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "He has brushed up on his English and hopefully he will put more pressure on Davide (Santon).
"Davide has been brilliant, but it is all about competition."
