Newcastle boss Pardew blames 'Ray Stubbs' for Cabaye charge

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew blames TV commentary for Yohan Cabaye's charge.

Pardew has accused ESPN presenter Ray Stubbs of helping to get midfielder Cabaye charged with violent conduct for kicking Brighton's Adam El-Abd in the face.

Pardew is furious at Stubbs for repeatedly showing the incident during coverage of Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup defeat, despite guest pundits John Barnes and Steve Harper dismissing claims it was deliberate.

Pardew said: "I am absolutely livid. Ray Stubbs was so ferocious about it and I could not understand that. I rang him and told him my feelings."
