Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says Hatem Ben Arfa produced his best performance for him in victory over West Bromwich Albion.
Pardew admitted he took Ben Arfa to one side for a pep talk before the game against Albion.
He said: "That's the best he's played for me, for sure. He got the balance right between working hard for the team and bringing his flair to the pitch.
"Last week, he worked too hard against Norwich and that took a little bit away from his ability when he's got the ball.
"I talked to him this week about just getting that right - and he was mesmerising."
