Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew admits he may have to cough up big to sign a replacement for Demba Ba.
Pardew has earmarked Marseille striker Loic Remy, 26, as the man to fill Chelsea signing Ba's boots - but with QPR also trailing him, his price could rocket.
"We're not going to buy a striker for the money we've received for Demba," he said.
"It's not just a striker we need but that's going to depend on how much he costs us.
"The owner Mike Ashley has been supportive but now he has to be even more supportive and find us the extra money for the striker."
