Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton has again insisted he won't release Nile Ranger for loan.
Hughton will resist the temptation to send Nile Ranger out on loan even though he knows the youngster could benefit from regular first-team football.
He said: "I can see why people might think Nile Ranger would be better going out on loan.
"Andy Carroll benefited from playing first-team football in the Championship last season, but we very much think Nile's development will be better served here.
"He is still a very young player and he is still learning the game. He has been getting little bit of first-team football in the Premier League and we want to keep him here as part of the group."
