Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton is adamant Andy Carroll is not for sale.
Hughton insists Newcastle's star striker will be a United player for years to come.
He told the Sunday Sun: "I don't think there is any interest for this club in not keeping Andy, none at all.
"He has just signed a five-year deal, he is very happy here and there is no doubt this is the best possible place for his development.
"Firstly, if there are reports of any bids being made they are not true and secondly, and most importantly, he will not be going anywhere. He is not for sale.
"Anything you might read about clubs being after Andy will not be fact, but if there is something to it that will be testament to how well he is playing for us and that is the most important thing."
