Newcastle United manager John Carver has no regrets about the 'best coach' comments he made last week and further jokes that he is also the best golfer and best cricketer in the world.
The Toon boss came under criticism from media and fans alike following his remarks in the wake of the Magpies' eight-straight defeats. Carver, though, says his words were misinterpreted.
"I don't regret what I said because I also believe I am the best golfer and the best cricketer in the world," he said.
"Listen, sometimes you say things tongue in cheek, okay? Sometimes you say things to try to motivate people and motivate myself.
"When I speak, I don't have any regrets over what I say. What I was a little bit annoyed about was how people took it out of context, and especially those people who actually know me."
