Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce was relieved to see Michael Owen come through international week unscathed.

Back on Tyneside, Allardyce was taking the view that no news is good news ahead of Monday night's Barclays Premier League clash with Tottenham at St James' Park.

He said: "I have not had a call, so it sounds like he's okay."
