Newcastle United are set to swoop for FC Groningen defender Virgil van Dijk.
RTV says Van Dijk's agent, Henk Maarten Chin, will travel to England next month for talks with Newcastle United.
The 20 year-old is in his second season with FC Groningen and impressed at centre-half. Toon's interest was confirmed this week by Groningen director Hans Nijland.
