Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko is backing Paul Pogba as a future Ballon d'Or winner.

Sissoko is a France teammate of Pogba and is a big fan of the young Juventus star.

Asked if Pogba can win the Ballon d'Or, Sissoko told Foot Mercato: "Yes, absolutely.

"If he continues like this, I think he can win it. It still takes work. I know he will continue to work. He has a good head on his shoulders.

"I hope for him that he will win it someday."
