New York Red Bulls renew broadcasting deal

New York Red Bulls have renewed their regional media rights agreement with MSG Networks, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

Under the multi-year deal, MSG Networks will broadcast at least 17 Red Bulls matches in the New York area in 2016, including their season-opener against Toronto FC on 6th March.

As well as TV coverage, the broadcaster will provide live online streaming of each fixture. Financial terms of the agreement have not been released.

"MSG Networks and the Red Bulls have enjoyed a long partnership together and we couldn't be more thrilled to have them return to MSG Networks for their 20th season," said Andrea Greenberg, president and chief executive officer, MSG Networks.

"The team's popularity is higher than ever and we're excited to continue to present Red Bulls games on our networks."

A club statement announcing the renewal said household ratings for the Red Bulls on MSG Networks were the highest in three seasons last term, up more than 65 per cent from the previous season.
