Leonardo Ulloa has admitted to pushing for a move away from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer.
The 28-year old Argentine striker joined Premier League returnees Leicester City for a club-record £8million in the recent transfer window and thus far, the move has proved a success as he has scored five goals in five outings.
Ullloa told the Daily Mail that he was eager to get a move to England's top flight after scoring 26 goals in 58 appearances for the Seagulls during his 18-month stay with the Championship club.
"This year I told Brighton I would not stay because I had a very important chance," said Ulloa.
The former Almeria striker has kicked off life at the King Power Stadium in fine fashion with a goal in the opening day 2-2 draw with Everton, in the 1-1 stalemate with Arsenal, in the 1-0 win at Stoke City and a brace in the stunning 5-3 come-from-behind triumph over Manchester United on Sunday.
