Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard handed a debut yesterday to new goalkeeper signing Oier Olazabal.

The 17 year-old joined Barca barely a month ago and was given 45 minutes in yesterday's 3-0 friendly victory over Beijing Guoan in China.

"A month ago I was watching these players on the TV," said Oier, "and now I am playing with them.

"Everyone was taking the mick out of Lilian Thuram because I am half his age! Everyone's been great, I never expected I'd get a chance to play so soon."
