New England Revolution are hoping they can sign Danish striker Rajko Lekic from Silkeborg.
The 29-year old, who has made one appearance for the Denmark national team, will link up with the Revs for a week of training and is then expected to sign a deal with the MLS outfit.
Revs coach Steve Nicol admitted the club had previously come close to securing Lekic's services but indicates that the pursuit is on again.
"He's one of the players we tried to sign and thought we had done,'' Nicol said. "We're going back with him and we're talking again."
Lekic has score just over 40 goals in 80 appearances for Silkeborg in the past three seasons in Denmark's Super Ligaen.
