New Brighton boss Potter: I'm looking forward to working with Gyokeres

New Brighton boss Graham Potter is confident he can fulfil his contract with the Seagulls.

Former Swansea City and Ostersunds boss Potter replaces Chris Hughton, who was sacked despite keeping the club up last season.

He told Expressen: "I would not say that I am worried, because I know that it is a result-oriented business and that one has to relate to that and show development.

"It is in the nature of this industry, so there is no reason for me to worry. You have to work as hard as you can and try to make as good a decision as possible."

Potter also revealed he is aware of Brighton's young Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres.

He added: "Absolutely. I remember him from the time in BP, where I saw him several times. He is young and has great potential. I have followed his development and I look forward to meeting him and helping him to develop even more."
