Neville: Man Utd's best business would be to keep 'world-class' De Gea

Phil Neville believes that for Manchester United the best bit of business in the summer transfer window would be to keep hold of goalkeeper David De Gea.

De Gea has been constantly linked with Real Madrid over the last year and according to some reports, the Spaniard is keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Former United star Neville is of the belief that if Louis van Gaal can hang onto De Gea at the conclusion of the current season it will be great news for the Red Devils.

"The biggest thing is David De Gea, and keeping him at the football club," Neville replied when asked about United's potential transfer business this summer.

"From when he first came, to how he is now, I don't think I've seen a player develop and improve as quickly as him.

"He's now at the stage where you'd say he's world-class. He's winning football games on his own. It's a flippant thing to say but he really is.

"Last minutes saves against Everton, Hull, Arsenal away - there's seven or eight occasions where he has won United games which just shows you that he is world-class."
