Former defender Gary Neville is buoyed by the fact that Manchester United have signed Memphis Depay.
Despite having achieved the aim of guiding United to a top-four finish, manager Louis van Gaal did not stand on ceremony and has already secured his first signing of the summer in the form of PSV Eindhoven winger Depay.
The United faithful are certainly thrilled at the prospect seeing Depay in action and now former captain Neville has echoed that sentiment by stating that his former side have signed a very exciting winger.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Neville said: "For me I am excited as a United fan in the sense that he is a wing player. For me, Manchester United should play with wing players.
"Wingers who beat people, players who take people on, who put crosses in the box, who score goals, and he is exciting. In wide areas this season it has been a bit of a struggle at times."
