Brighton & Hove Albion youngster Roland Bergkamp has joined League One outfit Rochdale on loan.

The 20-year old nephew of Arsenal great Dennis Bergkamp left Dutch club Excelsior for Brighton in July and will now spend the remainder of the year with Rochdale after finding it tough to make an impact with the Seagulls.

Bergkamp's loan lasts until January 2 and he will go straight into the Dale squad for this weekend's meeting with Preston North End.
