Lucas Neill could make his Watford debut in this weekend's Championship meeting with Blackpool.
The 35-year old Australian defender was signed to a short-term deal by the Hornets earlier this week and is a chance to start for Beppe Sannino's side when they host the Seasiders at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
Watford currently have Fitz Hall out with injury, Joel Ekstrand sidelined due to suspension, youngster Tommie Hoban only recently returning from injury while Gabriele Angella is coming off a subpar start in last weekend's disappointing 2-0 loss to Bolton.
Veteran Nyron Nosworthy has only been used five times this season as he deals with a court case for a road rage attack and Lloyd Doyley has not started the past two fixtures.
This could see Sannino pick the former Millwall, West Ham United, Blackburn Rovers and Everton centre-back for the visit of the Tangerines.
Neill is contracted to Watford until the end of the season and is looking to play consistent first team football as he strives to make his third consecutive World Cup with the Socceroos.
Watford currently sit 12th on England's tier two table while Blackpool are 18th, seven points behind this weekend's opponents.
