Lucas Neill believes it would be beneficial if the Australian national team were able to organise a friendly with England.
The Omiya Ardija defender, who captains the Socceroos, has backed the possibility of taking on the Three Lions in England in November a decade after the two nations last met.
"It's another huge game for us against one of the biggest teams in the world, one of the most famous teams in the world," Neill said of the potential fixture.
"Like playing Brazil in Brazil, like playing France in France, these are all very tempting matches and I'm sure that the people who arrange those games will definitely take serious consideration of the possibility."
